Always

Ciao! This week I have chosen the theme “Always”. To start out, let’s listen to “Never My Love” by The Association from 1967. Next up is “Niente al Mondo” by Dolcenera from 2015. The title means “nothing in the world” and she says there is nothing in the world that she would trade for her love. Our next song is by Belgian tenor Helmut Lotti. The title is “All My Life” and it is a powerful song about a man who will love forever even though he doesn’t know when or if he will see his loved one again. The song was written by Helmut Lotti and Joaquin Rodrigo and was first released by Helmut Lotti in 1995. Now let’s listen to “Forever and Ever” by Demis Roussos from 1973. Our next song is by Eros Ramazzotti from 2003. The title is “Un Emozione Per Sempre” which means “an emotion forever”. It is about a love story that is over but unforgettable, making him remember many happy times, and he says some loves leave their mark on us, for always. Ciao! Let's start off this week's lineup with "Let Her Go" by Passenger from 2012.

Our next song is the delightfully melancholic "Vivere Una Favola" by Vasco Rossi from 1987. The title of the song means, "To Live A Fairytale", and he says, "What I wouldn't give, to be on a cloud; to live in a fairytale".

Now let's listen to "Black Water" by the Doobie Brothers, from 1974.

Next up we have "Sento Solo il Presente" by Annalisa from 2015. This song is pure poetry. She says, "Transform me into a bubble, so that I can touch a star. Breathe softly and send me around the moon. Bind me to a ray of sunshine. Give it to the wind, and catch the essence of my every smile, and give it to the world. Everything is alive when I'm with you, and I search for nothing but the certainty that you are here".

Our next song is "Grease" by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, from 1978.

And now, here is 883 with "Come Mai" from 1993.

Barbra Streisand recorded the song "Evergreen" for the 1971 version of the film "A Star is Born". It was composed by Barbra Streisand, with lyrics by Paul Williams. Streisand and Williams earned an Academy Award for best original song, making Streisand the first woman to be so honored as a composer. They also won Golden Globes for best original song. Streisand earned a Grammy Award for song of the year, and the song spent three weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and six weeks atop the Easy Listening chart.
